We all love free patterns. So here are two, the 10 Foot quilt, and it’s simplified but beautiful sibling Barefoot. It’s also first Monday of the month, and I’ll be attempting to add to that new free pattern section (also now in the menu at the top of the page if you missed it) every first Monday for the next year. The barefoot quilt has yet to be pattern tested, so please send me your feedback if you make it. It’s a fast project, perfect for an afternoon gift or project for a new quilter.
These two stunning quilts were made by my mother Donna (quilted in Tula Pink on the left) and my aunt Debbie (quilted in Kaffe Fassett on the right). They have edited every post, encouraged me along the way, and tested every part of this project to produce two stunning quilts. My mom taught me to sew as soon as I could hold a needle, and Debbie gifted me my first Singer Featherweight. Thank you both, this has truly been a family effort.
The De La Luna shows off how to really stretch the small amounts of very valuable fabric you may have; highlighting a single cameo and using fussy cut appliqué to spread the design. The Kaffe is a beautiful balance of color, and check out those flower zippers and fun buttons! Adorable!
I’ll see you back here in a few weeks, with new patterns and new projects. For now, enjoy these two beauties!
